| My art is ever changing and evolving - like myself. I am drawn to many aspects of the creative process. Black and white portrait work has always been inspirational for me. Faces - human and animal, young and old, have forever fascinated me. There is much information in a face: the life one has led or the possibilities of a life yet to come. I strive with each portrait to capture not only the physical likeness of the subject, but his or her essence as well. My aim is to make the spark of each personality leap from the paper, something that a photo cannot always capture. It is always an honor to do these portraits. My artwork continues to be my refuge and my rapture, a process that takes me to altered states. | ||||||||||||||
