Dear Louisa,
Thank you so much for the beautiful portrait of our "Beloved Buster." We had something specific in mind when we asked you to draw him. We wanted to see him in one of our favorite of his poses, lying down with his head between his paws, eyes looking up at us. How delighted we are that you did that and more... you really captured his "essence!" We love how you brought out distinguishing features like the the scar on his nose, his graying muzzle and the way his hair gets wavy behind his collar. But it's the look on his face that touches the heart strings. This portrait is more "ALIVE" than any photograph we have of Buster (and we have plenty!) We were sad to have to pack it away for 9 months during our recent home renovation, but as soon as the work was done, Buster's portrait was the first thing we unpacked, and proudly hung over the mantle of our new fireplace.
